Purpose of Fund
The Joyce G. Christiansen Scholarship shall provide educational financial support for a Communication and Theatre major during their junior and senior years attending DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana. Nominees will be identified by faculty within the DePauw University Department of Communication and Theatre, or its successor.

History of Fund
Joyce G. Christiansen was born in Harris, Texas in 1933. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1954 and a Master’s degree in Microbiology in 1955 from the University of Houston. She went to work for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, where she met her husband Paul. Paul and Joyce were married in 1967. After the birth of her first child, Joyce decided to stay home to raise her children: Paul, Jr., Craig and Kyle. Joyce later returned to work in 1985 for DePauw University. At DePauw, she worked in the Registrar’s Office and then later as the secretary for the Communications Department. She had a passion for education and was dedicated to the Communications Department and always supported student performances.
