Purpose of Fund
The purpose of the Fund is to preserve the public and historic areas of Clear Run Cemetery, Bridgeton, Indiana.

History of Fund
This fund was started in 2006 with a bequest from Howard L. Williams estate.

Mr. Williams was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II; he served in the Pacific Theatre. He was a 1930 graduate of Greencastle High School and began a career in banking with First Citizens Bank and Trust Co. in Greencastle on April 28, 1930. He retired on Aug. 1, 1977 as executive vice president. He served on the board of directors for First Citizens Bank, United Way of Putnam County, Asbury Towers Retirement Home, Putnam County Community Foundation, and had been a member of the Indiana Bankers Association for more than 50 years. A longtime member and supporter of the Greencastle Chamber of Commerce, he was honored in 1983 with the Chamber's Citizen of the Year Award.
