Jack and Shirley Dalton Advised Endowment Fund
Year Founded Purpose of Fund History of Fund Jack and Shirley Dalton attended school in Plainfield, Indiana. They married in 1960. The couple has one son and two grandchildren. Jack began work for Standard Materials, Inc. in 1957 and started Dalton Asphalt Corp. in 1970 with a plant in Cloverdale. He later added a plant in Plainfield and the couple moved to the Greencastle area in 1977. Jack and Shirley have been involved in Mansfield, Parke County, Indiana since 1983. They enjoy living in Putnam County. Jack and Shirley were attracted to the opportunity to use the Community Foundation as a vehicle to keep giving after they were gone. They established the Jack & Shirley Dalton Advised Endowment Fund, the Veterans Memorial Flag Fund, the Betty Hughes Memorial Fund, and the Return-A-Gift Fund |
