Purpose of Fund

The primary purpose of the Fund shall be to provide financial support for operations, programs, and projects of Putnam County Family Support Services, located in Putnam County, Indiana.

History of Fund

Putnam County Family Support Services took advantage of the Community Foundation's Endowment Builder Program to start an endowment. Contributions and gifts made to the Family Support Services endowment will be matched, one dollar from the Community Foundation for every two dollars given by the public. "Our endowment is starting small," said Cari Cox, Executive Director. "But with time and additional contributions, this initial investment will create a reliable source of unrestricted operating dollars supporting our work."

Family Support Services provides strength-based and family-centered prevention programs, enabling at-risk families to build and sustain mental and emotional health. "We strive to facilitate a non-violent, nurturing community where every individual has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential," said Cox.
