Purpose of Fund
The primary purpose of the Fund shall be to provide financial support for the operations of Crisis Pregnancy Center of Putnam County, Greencastle, Indiana 46135.

History of Fund

James Hammond Circa 1990

James M. Hammond was a well-known and respected educator in Putnam County, serving as Principal of South Putnam High School, and for many years as the Superintendent of Schools at South Putnam.  He was a member of Greencastle Christian Church and served as an Elder. He

played a very important role in the founding of Crisis Pregnancy Center in 1994 and was the first Chairman of the Board for the Center.  After Jim's death, the Center established the James M. Hammond fund at the Foundation to benefit the Center.

To honor Jim, the Center currently presents the annual James M. Hammond award to the outstanding volunteer each year at the center’s annual banquet.

The James M. Hammond Fund was founded by the Board of Directors of the CareNet Pregnacy Center.
