Purpose of Fund

The primary purpose of the FUND shall be to provide a Scholarship to a graduating senior of Greencastle High School.

History of Fund

Robert L. Harbison, a former principal of Greencastle High School, began his career with the Greencastle Community School Corporation in 1959. Since then he has served in all Greencastle Schools as teacher, administrator, Athletic Director and interim Superintendent. In honor of his service to the community and all students, the School Board proclaimed the high school athletic field, the Robert L. Harbison Field.

Retired since 1997, Bob continues to serve the community and students as a substitute teacher, and as a Director of the Community Foundation. Bob and his wife Mischa raised two children, Sara and Rex. In their spare time they enjoy boating and camping.
